So you're sitting there on a Friday night with nothing to do. You feel like you should do something, but you really don't want to leave home. Make an Emo Angel

If you are a rockin' it emo kid, and you love all things black, as most emo kids do, this Christmas I have the most brilliant idea. Try making an emo angel to put on top of your Christmas tree. Dress it up in different clothing other than white, and put some makeup on that thing. It'd be a great prank on your parents and they'd be appalled.

It's a harmless joke that would be fun to do. If you think that's too extreme, you could always try making an ornament or dress up and an emo angel for Halloween. The concepts of emo and angel are just so opposite of each other that the thought of them combined it hilarious.

Japanese Anime Emo

It's convenient that a lot of emo kids like anime because its very similar. A lot of the Japanese cartoons dubbed "anime" have young teenage kids that are surprisingly sadistic due to a difficult situation like ninjas coming to their house and killing his or her family when he or she was four.

One character that sticks in my mind particularly is a character from Naruto. He wears a mask that covers his face and sulks all the time. Can't remember his name, but I know he sulks and look depressed and sad all the time. Anime emo characters pop up everywhere in pretty much every series, so if you're a big fan, be on the look out for all those great anime series.

All the Cute Emo Kids

So walking around the mall, you see a lot of teenagers hanging around. Some are really shopping, but most are just loitering or running around like crazies. There's a lot of different types of fashion that they sport. Anywhere from preppy to goth to emo.

There are some cute emo kids out there. They carry around kids backpacks, wear old power rangers and sesame street t-shirts that they got from Good will. I also saw a girl with a Capri sun bag for her makeup stuff. Converses are pretty cool looking. This guy had some crayons on his and that was pretty awesome. It's great when people can express themselves in such great ways.

Emo Heart Break is Serious

A true emo person is very fragile. Especially if they have self esteem problems or are diagnosed with clinical depression. That is why getting involved with an Emo kids is risky. Be careful how your relationship progresses and be sure to avoid emo heart break.

If you break this person's heart you will find how truly emo they are. Try your best to avoid a relationship like this. If you can't avoid it, you need to let this person down easy. Try being honest. If you aren't honest with them, they will take it harder. Clinical depression is a serious thing. Sometimes emo people earn the name for cutting their wrists. If you think this person may do so, make sure they are never alone.

How To Be Emo on the Outside

So now you understand what it is be emo, perhaps you want to know how to be emo. Some "true" emo kids may argue you can never truly pretend or learn to be an emo kid, but I disagree. Being an emo kid is a lot about how you dress and how you look. The thing about being depressed and emotional all the time, is harder to fake.

So if you want to be emo make sure you buy some tight jeans or even better yet, girl jeans if you're a guy. Get thick rimmed, black glasses, a messenger bag and some converse all stars. For shirts, just go to your local Good Will and find a child tee with power rangers or something super vintage to complete the look.

What is Emo These Days?

As the emo trend becomes more and more popular, and fashion fads come and go, the lines between the different fashions are starting to get blurred. Goth, punk, emo and others are often confused because of their similarities. So what is emo these days?

Emo has to do with a certain of person who is very emotional, of low self esteem and wears dark makeup. Most listen to main stream and self proclaimed emo bands, and often wear converse. It's very hard to tell the difference sometimes, but if you're not sure, just don't assume. Crazy hair, dark or neon clothing, dark makeup and homemade shoes are all great indicators.
