Chatting on whatever instant messenger it is that you use has always been something that gets really big in middle and high school. Whether you use AIM, AOL, MSN, or even just Gchat, there's plenty of ways for you to instantly message your friends online.

Some different programs will even allow you to have a buddy icon that you can choose. Whatever you choose will be seen by anyone that you're talking to. These icons tend to reflect maybe things that you like to do or what type of person you are, like say you choose to use emo buddy icons, people will automatically assume that you're emo.
