Emo Music: The All American Fallout Confessionals

Emo has surfaced throughout the country and made its appearance in a couple of big ways; lifestyle and music. When you say emo, most people refer to the tall skinny guy with long straight hair, some eye makeup, dark shirt, tight ripped jeans, Converse low tops for support and a flashy Gibson Les Paul strapped around him. Therefore with this, by the distributive property, emo also refers to music; the punk rock “sing about my girlfriend leaving me” type of music. So bands like The All American Rejects, Fallout Boy, and Dashboard Confessionals would definitely fall under the category of emo music.

These emo bands are starting to become the influence of new music arising, so I don’t thing emo is going to be going anywhere anytime soon; it’s the new scene.
